About SITE files

A .site file typically functions as a site definition for Salesforce Experience Cloud, a system-wide startup script for the R programming language, or a map configuration for Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR). Historically, it was also used as a project file for the discontinued Adobe GoLive. The primary disadvantage of the .site format is its lack of standard file association; Windows and macOS do not know how to open it, leading to frustrating "Choose an application" prompts. Under the hood, Salesforce .site files are strictly structured JSON files holding metadata. Sharing these files with non-technical stakeholders is difficult because they appear as overwhelming walls of code and cannot be previewed in a standard web browser. R programming environments use .site for initialization variables, which are just plain text but hidden behind an unfamiliar extension. To make these files universally readable or to extract raw data, convert Salesforce and R .site files to JSON, TXT, or XML. For legacy Adobe GoLive projects, extracting the internal assets to HTML is your best recovery path. Drag and drop your file to analyze and convert it - free, online, and without installing software.

Convert.Guru analyzes your SITE file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted CNS, XDC, RGX, MP3, PDF, APP, APK, TEXT, HTML and MARKDOWN files.
