About SC files
The .sc file format is extremely fragmented. Primarily, it acts as a proprietary game asset container used by Supercell for mobile games like Clash of Clans. Alternatively, in the medical field, it is a Secondary Capture dental X-ray image generated by Carestream SoftDent. Other systems use .sc for Scilab scripts, Animiz Animation Maker scenes, or even disguised Snapchat images. This fragmentation makes .sc files notoriously frustrating. Supercell game assets use aggressive, proprietary texture compression, making them unreadable to standard image editors. SoftDent dental images are locked within a proprietary clinical DICOM wrapper that requires expensive medical software to open. Snapchat .sc files are just JPG images with a changed extension, causing unnecessary OS confusion. To make these files usable, you must convert them. For Supercell textures and Snapchat files, convert to PNG or JPG for standard web viewing and editing.
