About NSC files
The .nsc file extension primarily represents two very different data formats: Physiological Data Session files used by NeuroScope and NeuroSky, and Navigation Speed Camera files utilized by Navitel Navigator. [NeuroScope] uses these files to store advanced electrophysiological recordings, while [Navitel Navigator] relies on them to hold proprietary GPS coordinates for speed traps and points of interest (POI).
Both formats present significant disadvantages for everyday users. They are highly specialized and typically require their native, proprietary software to open. Navitel .nsc files are locked to Navitel GPS ecosystems, preventing users from natively importing their saved speed cameras into mainstream map applications like Google Maps or Waze. Furthermore, a smaller subset of .nsc files act as Subscription Control Files for Nagravision or NASCA Digital Rights Management (DRM). These DRM variants are heavily encrypted and intentionally restrict access entirely.
Converting these files is essential for interoperability. For physiological data, extracting the records to CSV or TXT is highly recommended for cross-platform data analysis in Python, R, or Excel. For Navitel files, converting the POIs to standard GPS formats like GPX or KML allows seamless import into modern GIS software and alternative routing tools. Note that converting DRM-locked files is generally impossible due to encryption.
Because most .nsc files are closed and proprietary, standard online converters often fail to process them. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects the underlying ZIP structure of a NeuroScope file or embedded text coordinates within a GPS file, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your NSC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
Users also converted NISC 2021 AFTERMOVIE, ZIP, MP4, PND, MFI, DB0 and SC files.

The NSC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our NSC converter.
