About NFC files
The .NFC file extension represents multiple completely different file types. Most commonly, it is an NFC card data file generated by the Flipper Zero, a portable multi-tool for penetration testers and hardware enthusiasts. In this context, the file stores raw card data read via Near-field communication. Other major uses include legacy Nokia phone backup files created by the Nokia PC Suite, video download caches from download managers like Neko Catcher, or thumbnail caches in the Tencent QQBrowser.
Users often want to convert these files to make the data readable or accessible outside of the original, closed ecosystems. Flipper Zero files are technically plain text, but the data is structured specifically for the device firmware. Nokia backups are notoriously difficult to open today because the Nokia PC Suite is practically obsolete and heavily relies on closed proprietary formatting. Cache files are often purposely disguised by applications to prevent easy access, lacking a proper standard header or relying on hidden structures.
For Flipper Zero files, the best conversion target is standard TXT or JSON for manual analysis. If your file is an application cache, it might actually contain standard media - converting or extracting it to MP4 (for video caches), JPG (for thumbnail caches), or ZIP (for Android emulators) might reveal the hidden content. Nokia backups often require specialized archive extractors to pull out contacts and text messages, and direct conversion to standard formats usually results in lost metadata.
Because the .NFC extension is overloaded with so many proprietary and obscure formats, standard online converters almost always fail. They cannot blindly guess which specific variant you uploaded. If our analysis detects a supported underlying format like MP4, ZIP, or PDF, viewing or extraction may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your NFC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert NFC file to BIN, BAK, BACKUP, OLD, TMP, TEMP, ARC, ZIP, TAR, GZ, 7Z or RAR, you can use Flipper Zero or similar software from the "NFC Card Data Storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert SNAPSHOT, OLD, IMG, RESTORE, ISO, COPY, VMDK, TMP, VHD, BAK, ARCHIVE or BACKUP files to NFC, try Flipper Zero or another comparable tool in the "NFC Card Data Storage" category.
The NFC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our NFC converter.
