About MS14 files

A .MS14 file is a schematic design and simulation project created specifically by NI Multisim 14. These files contain the visual layout of electronic components, wiring connections, and the underlying SPICE simulation parameters used for analyzing circuit behavior. While NI Multisim is a standard in academic and industrial prototyping, the .MS14 format is proprietary and heavily version-dependent. A significant friction point is that files saved in version 14 are often backward-incompatible, meaning users with Multisim 13 or older cannot open them. Additionally, sharing these designs requires the recipient to have the specific software installed, which is often impractical for quick reviews or documentation.

To bypass these restrictions, conversion is often necessary. For general viewing, archiving, or inclusion in technical reports, converting the schematic to PDF or a high-resolution raster image like PNG is the most reliable method. If the goal is physical manufacturing, the design must be processed into Gerber files. For interoperability with other EDA tools like KiCad or LTspice, extracting the SPICE netlist (often CIR or NET) is the preferred technical workflow.

Convert.Guru analyzes your MS14 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted MS14 (SECURITY COPY), MS11, MST14, MS12, CIR, MP14, ZIP, JPG, PNG, PDF, MSI, MNY and SVG files.

The MS14 Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our MS14 converter.
