Convert a file to LVF
To convert other file formats to the "Surveillance Video File" file type, you need software like Logitech Alert Commander or a similar tool.
About LVF files
The .LVF file extension most commonly represents a proprietary Logitech video stream file created by Logitech Alert Commander software and associated security cameras. It stores raw surveillance video footage. Another frequent use case is the Logo Report View File, which contains business reporting data exported by Logo Yazılım ERP software. Rarely, the extension is also used for Japanese fixed-layout e-books, such as the Kindle Layout Viewport File or DRM-protected content from the BookLive store.
The major disadvantage of the .LVF format is its proprietary lock-in. You cannot play a Logitech video stream natively in standard media players like VLC, Windows Media Player, or web browsers. This makes sharing critical security footage incredibly frustrating. Similarly, Logo Report files are useless if you do not have an active, expensive ERP software license installed on your machine.
To make these files accessible, conversion is mandatory. For surveillance footage, convert to MP4 for web use or AVI for standard desktop editing. If dealing with an ERP report, convert to PDF for easy archiving and printing. Drop your file here to view and convert it securely right in your browser.

The LVF Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our LVF converter.
