About GAME files
A .game file is a highly fragmented format most commonly used as a game save file by titles running on the Unity game engine (such as HuniePop) or native applications like Apple macOS Chess. It is also frequently utilized to store internal game data, exported projects from GameSalad, or even disguised launcher executables for the older Electronic Arts SAGE engine. The primary disadvantage of the .game format is its total lack of standardization. Developers use this generic extension for entirely different internal structures - ranging from compiled binary executables and renamed RAR archives to plain-text JSON or XML data. Consequently, there is no universal software to open it. These files are typically proprietary and locked to the specific software or engine that generated them. If you do not own the original video game, the file is usually impossible to read or modify naturally. Converting a .game file directly to another format is almost never a straightforward process. Standard online converters fail instantly because they rely on the file extension rather than analyzing the internal binary header. You cannot magically convert a Unity game save into a format readable by a completely different video game. However, if you are a modder or developer, you might need to extract the underlying assets. The best conversion targets depend entirely on the file's true structure: rename it to RAR or ZIP if it is a compressed archive, or parse it as JSON or XML if it contains text-based variable data. Because this format is notoriously difficult to process, usually only the original software can properly read or export the data.
