About DXP files
The .DXP extension typically represents a TIBCO Spotfire Analysis file, a proprietary package used by TIBCO Spotfire to store complex data visualizations, embedded datasets (often in .SBDF format), and analytical scripts. These files function as compressed containers (similar to ZIP) that bundle the entire analysis environment, making them impossible to view without the specific Spotfire Analyst software or a Web Player license. Users often struggle to share these findings with non-Spotfire users due to this lock-in. A secondary but common use is the Data Compilation File created by CDBurnerXP, which is a simple XML text file listing paths to files intended for burning to a disc. These do not contain actual media or data, only the instructions, causing confusion when users expect a disk image like ISO. Less frequently, .DXP files may be Design of Experiments projects from Design-Expert.
Convert.Guru analyzes your DXP file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The DXP Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our DXP converter.
