A .CUIX file is an AutoCAD Custom User Interface package. It stores custom workspace layouts, ribbon panels, toolbars, menus, and macros used by CAD professionals to personalize their drafting environment. This format replaced the older CUI file starting with AutoCAD 2010.
These files are natively created and managed by Autodesk AutoCAD. Users often struggle with .CUIX files because they are highly proprietary and tightly coupled to specific AutoCAD installations. Moving a custom interface from a new AutoCAD release to an older one frequently causes missing toolbars or broken macros.
