About CND files
The .CND file extension is highly fragmented and used by several completely unrelated systems. Most commonly, it functions as a data logger condition file for Graphtec hardware, or an EPMA analysis condition file used by JEOL laboratory equipment. It is also actively used as a condensed embroidery design file for Melco systems, a CD/DVD label design file associated with SureThing and Nero CoverDesigner, and as a marine chart data file for Lowrance electronics. Because this format is shared across so many different proprietary platforms, opening a .CND file is incredibly frustrating. The files are usually proprietary binary formats or Microsoft Compound documents, meaning standard text editors cannot read them. Without the exact legacy software, the files are completely locked. They cannot be previewed in web browsers, and sharing them with colleagues who lack the native hardware is pointless. To make these files usable, you must convert them based on their origin. For Melco embroidery files, convert to DST or EXP to load them onto standard sewing machines. For SureThing CD labels, convert to PDF or JPG for reliable printing. For JEOL or Graphtec data conditions, extracting the data to CSV or TXT is the only way to perform universal data analysis.
Convert.Guru analyzes your CND file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert CND file to DWG, DXF, DGN, RVT, RFA, SKP, 3DM, STEP, IGES, SAT, X_T or X_B, you can use JEOL EPMA or similar software from the "Proprietary Data and Settings" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert SLDASM, DGN, PRT, IAM, X_B, CATPRODUCT, SLDPRT, RVT, ASM, DWG, CATPART or DXF files to CND, try JEOL EPMA or another comparable tool in the "Proprietary Data and Settings" category.
The CND Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CND converter.
