Convert B6T to another file type
To convert B6T disc images to another format, you need BlindWrite or other Disk Image software.
Convert a file to B6T
To convert other file formats to the "Disc Topology Metadata" file type, you need software like BlindWrite or a similar tool.
About B6T files
The .b6t file is a BlindWrite 6 Track Information file. It stores the track layout, subchannel data, and physical topology of a cloned CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disc. It is created by BlindWrite, a disc imaging tool developed by VSO Software. Users typically open these files by mounting them in virtual drive emulation software like Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%.
The primary disadvantage of the .b6t format is its proprietary nature and its reliance on a companion file. A .b6t file contains no actual disc data; it is merely a metadata "sidecar" file. The bulk of the cloned data resides in a paired b6i file. This makes archiving and sharing highly inconvenient, as both files must be kept in the exact same directory. Furthermore, standard operating systems like Windows and macOS cannot mount this format natively without third-party utilities.
Users often attempt to convert the BlindWrite image to standard formats like ISO or BIN / CUE to ensure universal compatibility. However, converting just the .b6t file is impossible since it lacks the core payload. Additionally, converting to ISO will strip away the physical topology data required to emulate specific disc copy protections.
This file format is difficult to open or convert online because it requires the exact disc structure parsing that only specialized local software provides. Standard online converters fail to process it. Just drag and drop your file onto convert.guru to identify the format, view its internal structure, and convert it when possible. If our analysis detects supported embedded text or metadata, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your B6T file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert B6T file to ISO, IMG, DMG, VHD, VMDK, VDI, HDD, QCOW, QCOW2, RAW, VBOX or OVA, you can use BlindWrite or similar software from the "Disc Image Track Metadata" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert VFD, DMG, OVA, IMA, VBOX, ADF, PVS, VHD, OVF, ISO, DSK or IMG files to B6T, try BlindWrite or another comparable tool in the "Disc Image Track Metadata" category.
The B6T Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our B6T converter.
