Extract text from Game and wireframe files (VIS)

To convert other file formats to the "Game Data & Wireframes" file type, you need software like Ren'Py or a similar tool.
The .VIS file extension is highly fragmented and used by several completely unrelated software platforms. In the majority of cases, it functions as a game data or save file for visual novel engines like Ren'Py or adventure games built with Visionaire Studio. Another significant usage is for construction cost estimate documents generated by TeamSystem STR Vision. Additionally, AI UI design tools like Visily use the .VIS format to export wireframes.
Because .VIS files are highly proprietary, they are exceptionally difficult to share. A game save file is useless outside its specific game directory. A wireframe or cost estimate requires the recipient to have an expensive software license or a cloud account to view it. Attempting to open a .VIS file in a standard text editor often yields unreadable binary data, unless it is one of the rare XML-based visualization definitions.
To make the data usable, you must convert it. For UI wireframes, convert to PDF or PNG for client review. For cost estimates, extracting the data to CSV or XLSX is essential for broader spreadsheet compatibility. XML-based .VIS files should be saved as standard TXT or XML.
