Convert UCF to another file type
To convert UCF files to another format, you need Cisco Webex or other Video software.
Convert a file to UCF
To convert other file formats to the "Proprietary Media Recording" file type, you need software like Cisco Webex or a similar tool.
About UCF files
A .UCF file most frequently operates as a WebEx Media File (Universal Communications Format) created by Cisco Webex. It stores virtual meeting recordings, including shared screen content, audio, and video. Alternatively, the .ucf extension is widely used as a User Constraints File for legacy Xilinx ISE software, storing pin layouts and timing rules for FPGA hardware design. Other niche hardware and software - such as Siemens Climatix controllers, Ricoh and Xerox multifunction printers, and Unreal Engine - use .ucf for basic configuration text or address book exports.
The massive disadvantage of the .UCF format is proprietary fragmentation. You cannot know what a .ucf file is just by looking at it. WebEx .ucf files are notorious for locking users into outdated Webex Player software; they cannot be played natively in web browsers, mobile devices, or standard media players. Xilinx .ucf files are now largely obsolete because modern AMD/Xilinx workflows require the newer XDC format. Printer address books in .ucf are entirely locked to specific hardware, preventing easy contact migration.
To overcome these hurdles, you must convert the file based on its type. For WebEx recordings, convert .UCF to MP4 for web use, playback, and long-term archiving. For Xilinx developer files, text migration to XDC is required to work with modern tools. For printer address books, convert to CSV to read the data in Excel.
Convert.Guru analyzes your UCF file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert UCF file to XDC, HTML, HTM, CSS, JS, PHP, ASP, ASPX, JSP, JSPX, PY or RB, you can use Cisco Webex or similar software from the "WebEx Media & FPGA Constraints" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert RSS, CSS, CGI, SITEMAP, PL, WEBMANIFEST, JSON, JS, XML, HTML, ICO or HTM files to UCF, try Cisco Webex or another comparable tool in the "WebEx Media & FPGA Constraints" category.
The UCF Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our UCF converter.
