The .WBT extension is shared between two distinct file types, creating frequent confusion for users. The most common format (89%) is a Webex Trace Log generated by Cisco Webex. These files contain diagnostic data, error codes, and connection details used to troubleshoot meeting issues. They are typically proprietary and unreadable in standard text editors like Notepad, often requiring the specific WBX Tracer utility to decode. The second type is a Webots World File used by Cyberbotics Webots, a popular open-source robot simulator.
