About ARF files
The .ARF (Advanced Recording File) is a proprietary format generated by Cisco Webex for storing recordings of online meetings. While this makes it excellent for replaying a meeting within the Webex ecosystem, it presents significant barriers for external sharing. .ARF files cannot be opened by standard media players like VLC or Windows Media Player, nor can they be uploaded directly to platforms like YouTube or Vimeo. To make these recordings accessible on mobile devices or strictly for archiving without the proprietary Webex Network Recording Player, users must convert them.
