Extract text from TempTale data files (TTX)
To convert TTX data files to another format, you need Sensitech TempTale or other Data software.

A .TTX file generally serves one of several completely distinct purposes depending on the software that created it. The most common use is a Temperature Data Logger File generated by Sensitech TempTale hardware, storing supply chain temperature records for sensitive cargo. It is also widely used as an XML Font Definition File by the FontTools TTX utility, a Legacy Bilingual Translation Document in SDL Trados Studio, a report data definition in SAP Crystal Reports, or a compiled flight simulator texture in X-Plane.
The primary disadvantage of the .TTX format is its extreme fragmentation and heavy reliance on proprietary software. For instance, TempTale files require the proprietary TempTale Manager software to open. SDL Trados .TTX files are a legacy format that has largely been replaced by the newer SDLXLIFF standard, and they require expensive translation memory software to process. Flight simulator textures are compiled binaries unusable outside the specific game engine.
Standard online converters usually fail because they cannot guess which of the completely different formats a .TTX file belongs to. If you are dealing with Trados or Crystal Reports files, you usually want to convert them to CSV, TXT, or PDF to share the text data. Font definition files are often converted back to TTF or OTF using FontTools.
