Extract text from Traktor settings files (TSI)

To convert other file formats to the "Application Preferences & Logs" file type, you need software like Traktor or a similar tool.
The .TSI file extension primarily serves two distinct purposes: Traktor Settings Files used by Native Instruments Traktor and Voice Chat Telemetry Data generated by Discord. In Traktor, .TSI files store MIDI mappings, keyboard layouts, effects preferences, and audio routing settings, structured internally as standard XML. For Discord, .TSI files temporarily cache connection logs and voice telemetry statistics during voice calls.
The main disadvantage of .TSI files is their application-specific lock-in. Traktor users frequently struggle to merge multiple .TSI mapping files because the software natively overwrites existing settings upon import. Since Traktor provides no internal merge tool, users must manually edit the raw XML code, which requires technical knowledge and risks file corruption. Meanwhile, Discord .TSI files are largely opaque, undocumented telemetry logs meant solely for developer debugging, offering zero native utility to the everyday user.
For Traktor mappings, converting .TSI to XML or TXT is highly recommended. This allows users to safely inspect the code, manually splice MIDI assignments, or share configurations in plain text without triggering a full software overwrite. Discord telemetry files can sometimes be viewed as raw text or CSV if the data is structured, though this yields little practical value outside of troubleshooting.
Because these are specialized, proprietary settings and cache logs, standard online converters often fail to process them entirely.
