About TME files
A .tme file is most commonly an Electrophysiology measurement data file used by scientific data acquisition software from HEKA Elektronik. It stores raw telemetry data or electrophysiological recordings based on a Microsoft Compound internal structure. Alternatively, a .tme file can be a Thermodynamic cycle analysis file generated by the TermoGraf educational software, an Apparel CAD pattern file for Prismartec CAD/CAM, or a Flight simulator add-on package for IPACS Aerofly FS. Because the primary uses of .tme files are highly specialized scientific and engineering applications, these formats are largely proprietary. Opening them requires a specific license for software like HEKA's suite. This creates significant disadvantages: the files are completely unreadable in standard text editors or web browsers, and sharing raw telemetry data with peers who lack the required expensive scientific software license is virtually impossible. To share this data effectively, users typically need to export the .tme file to open formats like CSV (Comma-Separated Values) or TXT for data analysis in Python, R, or Microsoft Excel. Converting to PDF is also highly recommended for sharing static graphs and reports. Because .tme formats are closed and proprietary, standard online converters fail to process them.
