About NFF files
The .NFF file extension is most commonly associated with Ninja Forms, a popular form builder plugin for WordPress. When a site administrator exports a form's structural definition to migrate it to another website, the system generates an .NFF file. Under the hood, this is simply a standard JSON file containing the fields, settings, and layout of the form. To open or import these files, users typically use the Ninja Forms plugin within a WordPress dashboard. Another rarer use of the .NFF extension is the Neutral File Format, a legacy 3D scene description language used by rendering software like POV-Ray and older Autodesk tools to store polygon and lighting data. A third, highly specialized use is for Neurotechnology Sibilant voice biometrics data. The primary disadvantage of the .NFF format is its lack of native OS support. Because it uses a custom extension, double-clicking the file on Windows or macOS will result in an unrecognized file error, confusing users who just want to see the underlying text or data. Furthermore, it only contains the form's structural template, not the actual user submission entries (which are typically exported as CSV).
