About NFF files

The .NFF extension primarily identifies a form export file generated by the Ninja Forms plugin for WordPress. These files are essentially standard JSON data structures containing form settings, fields, and notification logic, used to migrate forms between WordPress installations. The primary constraint is utility: users cannot simply double-click an .NFF file to view the form's layout or content visually; it requires an active WordPress site with the plugin installed to function. For users needing to document form structures without importing them, converting .NFF to PDF or HTML provides a readable layout. Additionally, renaming the extension to JSON allows developers to inspect the raw data in any text editor.

Less commonly, .NFF refers to the Neutral File Format, a minimalist 3D scene description language developed by Eric Haines for the Standard Procedural Database (SPD).
