About TLG files
The .TLG file extension is primarily used for three completely different applications: trade log activity reports generated by the Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation (TWS), proprietary game engine graphics used by the KiriKiri game engine, and transaction log backups created by Intuit QuickBooks. These highly proprietary formats are confusing and frustrating to open without the original software. An Interactive Brokers log is raw data that cannot be analyzed easily without conversion. QuickBooks log files are strictly linked to their main company database and serve no independent purpose, while KiriKiri graphics are closed, encoded image files completely unsupported by standard image viewers or web browsers. Users typically want to convert an Interactive Brokers .TLG log to CSV or XLSX to track their trading activity in spreadsheet software. KiriKiri .TLG sprites must be converted to standard PNG or JPG formats to be viewed or edited outside of the game environment. Standard online converters almost always fail to process .TLG files because they cannot distinguish between a financial log and a Japanese visual novel graphic.
