Extract text from Swift Publisher files (SWT)

An .SWT file primarily functions as a template used by Swift Publisher, a macOS desktop publishing application developed by BeLight Software. It stores predefined page layouts for flyers, brochures, and catalogs. Alternatively, it can be an XML-based ID card design template from Brady EasyID, an obsolete Adobe Flash Generator template (originally by Macromedia), or a chess tournament data file used by Swiss-Manager.
These files are extremely fragmented and highly restrictive. Swift Publisher files are macOS-exclusive and use a proprietary format, making them useless to Windows or Linux users. Legacy Flash templates are completely obsolete since the death of the Flash platform. Swiss-Manager data files are locked into a niche tournament ecosystem. You cannot natively open most .SWT files in standard web browsers or generic document editors.
To share Swift Publisher or Brady EasyID templates, users must export them to standard formats like PDF, JPG, or PNG. Chess files should be exported to TXT or PGN. Standard online converters usually fail because these formats require the native application engine to render proprietary vectors, fonts, and layouts properly. This makes .SWT files notoriously difficult to process without the original software.
