About SVT files
The .svt extension is a multi-purpose container primarily used as a Certificate Store Database for the Turkish AKIS (Akıllı Kart İşletim Sistemi) e-signature infrastructure. In this context, the file is essentially a standard SQLite database renamed with an .svt extension. Users frequently encounter issues attempting to open these files with standard text editors or spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel, which cannot parse the binary SQL format. To access the certificate data or logs inside, the file must often be converted to CSV, XLSX, or opened directly with an SQLite viewer.
Beyond administrative uses, .svt files serve as character save data for the action RPG Torchlight (developed by Runic Games). These files store character progression, inventory, and stats in a binary format that is not human-readable. Modders and gamers often look to convert these files to decrypted XML or Text formats to edit stats or recover corrupted saves. Other less common but significant uses include Shared View Templates for Autodesk Revit and JSON-based project files for Sovit3D visualization software. Because the extension is used by completely different industries (Security, Gaming, CAD), successfully converting it requires first identifying the source software.
Convert.Guru analyzes your SVT file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert SVT file to SVG, AI, EPS, PDF, JPG, CDR, WMF, EMF, SWF, FLA, XFL or SKETCH, you can use SQLite or similar software from the "Certificate Store Database" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert AFPUB, EPS, FIG, VSD, SKETCH, VDX, AFPHOTO, PDF, AFDESIGN, SVG, VSDX or AI files to SVT, try SQLite or another comparable tool in the "Certificate Store Database" category.
The SVT Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our SVT converter.
