Extract text from SPI files

The .SPI extension covers a diverse range of proprietary formats, most notably the Samsung charging animation sequence found on Android devices and the ShadowProtect incremental backup file used by IT professionals.
For Samsung users (approx. 53%), this file resides in the system firmware (/system/media) to display the battery charging graphic. These files are typically proprietary containers or raw bitmaps that standard image viewers cannot open. To customize or view these animations, users must convert the internal data to PNG, JPG, or GIF, though this often requires root access and specialized extraction tools.
For ShadowProtect users (approx. 9%), the .SPI file represents an "incremental" backup created by Arcserve ShadowProtect (formerly StorageCraft). These files store only the changes made since the last backup. The critical disadvantage is that an .SPI file is useless on its own; it requires the original full backup (MyBackup.spf) and the entire chain of previous incrementals to restore data. Users looking to migrate away from this proprietary lock-in often seek to convert the full backup chain into a virtual disk format like VHDX (Hyper-V) or VMDK (VMware) for easier access.
Less common uses include SPICE circuit simulation models (text-based) and Susie plugins (renamed DLLs).
