A .SDTHEME file is a proprietary skin package used by Stardock WindowBlinds to radically alter the visual appearance of the Microsoft Windows user interface. These files encapsulate interface elements like title bars, push buttons, start menus, and taskbar textures alongside configuration scripts.

The Solution: Structurally, most modern .SDTHEME files are renamed ZIP archives. For asset recovery, the best approach is to convert or rename the file to ZIP to expose the internal structure. Once opened, the constituent graphics - often TGA, BMP, or PNG files - can be converted to standard JPG or WEBP formats for web use, or PNG for lossless editing.
