The files are also massive, often exceeding 20MB to 50MB per image, making them impossible to use on websites or share easily via email. The best target formats are JPG for web compatibility and small file sizes, PNG for lossless web graphics, or TIFF for high-quality printing. Keep in mind that converting a raw file to JPG permanently discards the raw sensor data, "baking in" the exposure and color settings and drastically reducing the dynamic range.
