About RVL files
The .rvl file extension is primarily associated with Revealer Keylogger by Logixoft as a keystroke and activity log file, or as an XML-based video project file for muvee Reveal by muvee Technologies. In the case of keylogger logs, these files are often proprietary or encrypted text intended only for the monitoring software. This makes them difficult to audit, search, or share with security and compliance teams without specialized viewing software. For muvee projects, the .rvl file is strictly an XML instruction set and does not contain actual video media, meaning it cannot be played in standard media players like VLC. This is a common and annoying limitation when users attempt to share a video but mistakenly share the project blueprint instead. To solve these interoperability issues, converting the file is highly recommended. For security auditing and log analysis, convert keylogger logs to TXT or CSV. For permanent archiving, convert to PDF/A. If you have a muvee project file, converting it to standard XML or TXT allows you to read the internal media paths to locate your missing original video assets. Drag and drop your file to analyze and convert it - free, online, and without installing software.
