Extract text from Memo backup files (RNT)

The .RNT file format primarily stores memo backups created by the LG Memo app (often referred to as RichNote) or note databases generated by Bauerapps RightNote. LG Memo uses .RNT to archive text notes, drawings, and multimedia attachments on LG smartphones, silently saving the data as a standard ZIP archive. Alternatively, RightNote, a Windows-based desktop organizer, utilizes .RNT to store local user notebooks within a structured SQL database container.
Users face significant challenges with .RNT files because they are tightly locked to discontinued hardware or specific paid software. LG smartphones are no longer manufactured, making it extremely difficult to access old memos on modern Android devices. Likewise, RightNote databases require their proprietary Windows application to read the structured notes. These closed formats effectively trap your personal text and images inside inaccessible archives.
To recover your data, you must extract or convert .RNT files to standard formats like ZIP (to unpack LG Memo attachments), TXT (for raw text recovery), or CSV (to export SQL table data from RightNote). Keep in mind that proprietary formatting, custom tags, or app-specific layouts will likely be lost during raw extraction.
