Convert RKT to another file type
To convert your RKT file to another format, you need DrRacket or other Developer software.
Convert a file to RKT
To convert other file formats to the "Source Code & Simulation" file type, you need software like DrRacket or a similar tool.
About RKT files
.RKT files primarily contain source code written in Racket, a multi-paradigm programming language in the Lisp/Scheme family. These files are plain text scripts interpreted by the Racket runtime or edited within the DrRacket IDE. While the format is text-based, raw .RKT files cannot be executed without the specific language environment installed, making them difficult to share with end-users or non-developers who simply need to see the output or logic. Additionally, legacy files from the PLT Scheme era may face compatibility issues with modern interpreters.
A secondary but significant use of the .RKT extension is for model rocket designs created with Apogee RockSim. These files store simulation parameters, materials, and flight data. Users often struggle to share these designs with hobbyists who use open-source alternatives like OpenRocket or who do not own a RockSim license.
To overcome these accessibility hurdles:
For Documentation: Convert code or design specs to PDF to preserve syntax highlighting and layout for reading.
For Quick Viewing: Convert to TXT or HTML to allow code review in standard web browsers.
For Data Analysis: Convert RockSim simulation data to CSV or XLS for spreadsheet analysis.
Convert.Guru analyzes your RKT file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert RKT file to JS, TS, PY, JAVA, CPP, C, CS, PHP, RB, GO, RS or SWIFT, you can use DrRacket or similar software from the "Programming Source Code" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert SH, PY, KT, PS1, SWIFT, LUA, PL, JAVA, SCALA, JS, VBS or TS files to RKT, try DrRacket or another comparable tool in the "Programming Source Code" category.
The RKT Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our RKT converter.
