Convert a file to QRS
To convert other file formats to the "Medical Data" file type, you need software like WFDB Software Package or a similar tool.
About QRS files
The .QRS extension is unfortunately shared by two completely different technical domains, creating significant confusion for users. Most commonly, it represents an ECG Signal Annotation file associated with the PhysioNet WFDB (WaveForm Database) package. These files store specific markers - such as the precise timing of R-waves in a cardiac cycle (the QRS complex) - which are critical for medical research and arrhythmia algorithm development. The problem is that these are binary or specialized text formats that typical software like Microsoft Excel cannot read natively. To analyze this data, users typically convert it to CSV or TXT using command-line tools like rdann.
Alternatively, a .QRS file may be a QuickReport snapshot. This is a proprietary legacy format used by Delphi applications to save a static view of a report. Users often find themselves locked out of their own data because they lack the specific viewer application that generated the report. For these files, the only practical path forward is converting the snapshot to PDF for archiving or XLS to recover the tabular data. In rarer cases (specifically with TRIK Studio robotics software), a .QRS file is simply a standard compressed archive; renaming the extension to ZIP often allows you to extract the XML project files inside without any conversion tools.
Convert.Guru analyzes your QRS file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert QRS file to CSV, JSON, XML, YAML, YML, TOML, INI, CFG, CONF, DAT, DB or SQL, you can use WFDB Software Package or similar software from the "ECG Signal Annotation Data" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert DBF, XML, SQLITE, XLSX, SQL, TSV, ACCDB, YAML, MDB, CSV, ODS or JSON files to QRS, try WFDB Software Package or another comparable tool in the "ECG Signal Annotation Data" category.
The QRS Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our QRS converter.
