Convert QPR to another file type
To convert QPR queries to another format, you need QBlade or other Data software.
Convert a file to QPR
To convert other file formats to the "Engineering Project File" file type, you need software like QBlade or a similar tool.
About QPR files
A .QPR file typically functions as an engineering project file or a generated query script, depending on its origin. Most frequently, it represents a motion control program file used by Applied Motion Products Q Programmer, a control system project in REX Controls QPilot, a wind turbine design project in the open-source QBlade software, or a generated query program in the legacy Microsoft Visual FoxPro. These files act as the primary blueprint for complex simulations, mechanical instructions, or database queries.
The main disadvantage of the .QPR format is its highly proprietary and fragmented nature. Because the same extension is shared across drastically different industries - from renewable energy simulation to legacy database management - sharing a .QPR file with someone who lacks the specific parent software is almost always a dead end. Furthermore, these files often require expensive, specialized software suites to read. Without the original engineering environment, users cannot visualize the internal models, timelines, or query logic, making standard collaboration difficult.
Converting a .QPR file directly depends on its underlying structure. For instance, Visual FoxPro files can be converted to plain TXT or SQL, while QBlade simulations are better exported natively to CSV or PDF reports. This file format is notoriously difficult to convert with standard online tools because its internal encoding varies wildly from plain text to compressed ZIP archives. However, just drag and drop your file into convert.guru to identify the format, view it, and convert it when possible. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, like the ZIP structure used by QPilot, viewing or extracting the internal data may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your QPR file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert QPR file to JS, TS, PY, JAVA, CPP, C, CS, PHP, RB, GO, RS or SWIFT, you can use QBlade or similar software from the "Engineering Project Storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert SH, PY, KT, PS1, SWIFT, LUA, PL, JAVA, SCALA, JS, VBS or TS files to QPR, try QBlade or another comparable tool in the "Engineering Project Storage" category.
The QPR Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our QPR converter.
