About QDF files
QDF files are a proprietary file format developed by Quicken, a personal finance software. It is used to store financial data such as bank accounts, investments, and tax information. QDF files are not compatible with other programs, so they must be converted in order to be used in other software.
The two main file extensions associated with QDF files are .QDF and .QDF-BACKUP. They can be converted to other formats such as .QIF, .QXF, .OFX, and .CSV using software such as Quicken, Moneydance, GnuCash, and Microsoft Money.
When converting QDF files, it is important to consider the version of the software used to create the file. For example, Quicken files created in versions prior to 2007 cannot be converted to .QIF format. Additionally, some software may not be able to convert all of the data contained in the QDF file, such as investment transactions.
QDF files can be difficult to convert and may require specialized software, making it a time-consuming and potentially costly process. Additionally, the proprietary nature of the QDF format makes it difficult to open and view the data contained in the file. For these reasons, it is often advisable to use a free and easy online website such as Convert.Guru to convert QDF files.
The QDF Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began more than 25 years ago in California, when Tom Simondi published the most comprehensive database of file formats on his website. Before that, Tom had worked on Space Shuttle development at the Air Force Systems Command’s Space Division in Los Angeles. He is known as one of the top programmers of the late 1980s.
When Microsoft integrated Tom’s Filext database into Windows XP, it became the leading platform for analyzing and processing file types and formats.
Today, we use the latest technologies to analyze, process, and convert one of the world's largest collections of file formats. We are committed to developing the best QDF converter by continuously improving quality, usability, and reliability.
