About PART1 files
A .PART1 file is the first volume of a split archive, created when a large file is broken down into smaller chunks for easier distribution or storage limits. While most commonly generated by WinRAR or 7-Zip to split massive disk images, videos, or backups, this format acts merely as a container segment. The main issue users encounter is the inability to open this file in isolation; without the subsequent volumes (part2, part3, etc.) located in the same directory, the archive is technically incomplete and will trigger checksum errors or fail to extract. Furthermore, because different software (like HJSplit or generic PDF splitters) uses the same naming convention, identifying the underlying compression algorithm - whether it is RAR, 7Z, or a raw binary split - can be difficult without the right tools. To access the actual content (often ISO, MKV, or EXE), you do not strictly "convert" the file; rather, you must join or extract the set. However, if you need to repackage these volumes into a more accessible single file, the best workflow is to extract the contents and re-compress them into a standard ZIP for universal compatibility or PDF if the source was a split document.
