About PAPA files

A .PAPA file is a proprietary game save or backup file created by Flipline Studios for their popular line of Papa's restaurant management games. These files store user progress, unlocked items, and high scores. Because it is a proprietary format, standard software cannot open or edit .PAPA files. The main disadvantage of this format is that it is locked to a specific game engine. If you open it in a standard text editor, you will only see garbled binary data because the internal content is compressed using the zlib algorithm. Modifying the file directly without proper decompression will immediately corrupt your save game. Users occasionally seek to convert .PAPA files to extract the internal data into raw BIN or TXT formats to modify in-game currencies or stats. Converting these files into standard media like JPG or PDF is impossible, as they contain purely relational game variables, not visual data.
