About OPK files
The .OPK file extension primarily identifies an OpenBullet 2 configuration package, used to distribute web automation scripts and testing configurations. These files act as compressed containers (internally ZIP archives) holding logic scripts (LoliCode), settings, and dependencies required to execute automated tasks. A secondary but significant use is for OpenDingux application packages, which serve as executable bundles for retro gaming handhelds like the GCW Zero or Anbernic RG350.
Users frequently face difficulties with .OPK files because they are effectively "black boxes"; you cannot view the code inside an OpenBullet config or access the game assets in an OpenDingux package without specific software or hardware. Furthermore, OpenDingux files are typically SquashFS images, which are not natively readable on Windows or macOS.
To access the contents without the original hardware or software, the best solution is converting the container format. For OpenBullet files, converting or renaming to ZIP allows immediate access to the internal JSON or text scripts. For OpenDingux files, converting to a standard archive format allows users to extract game assets, ROMs, or configuration data.
Convert.Guru analyzes your OPK file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert OPK file to ZIP, RAR, 7Z, TAR, GZ, BZ2, XZ, LZMA, CAB, ACE, ARJ or LHA, you can use OpenBullet 2 or similar software from the "Web Automation & Retro Gaming" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert XXE, 7Z, Z, PAK, LHA, DEB, UUE, TAR, LZH, ZIP, PKG or RAR files to OPK, try OpenBullet 2 or another comparable tool in the "Web Automation & Retro Gaming" category.
The OPK Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our OPK converter.
