These files are legacy data bridges, designed to move 3D geometry or simulation meshes between UNIX workstations and Windows PCs without corruption. The friction here is significant: modern CAD tools often fail to recognize these older neutral schemas natively, leaving you with geometry you cannot edit or view.

Alternatively, in the software world, a .neu file is an encrypted resource bundle for Neutralinojs applications. These contain the compiled HTML, CSS, and JavaScript assets of a desktop app. The main constraint is accessibility; you cannot simply double-click to view the source code or assets inside, as they are packed into a binary blob.
