Extract text from Nokia backup files (NCC)

The .NCC file extension serves three distinct technical purposes depending on its origin. Most commonly, it is a legacy backup archive created by Nokia PC Suite to store phone contacts and messages using UTF-16 (LE) text encoding. Alternatively, it is a proprietary digital notebook file generated by Ratta Supernote e-ink tablets. In industrial manufacturing, .NCC represents Numerical Control Code (G-code) generated by Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software like Mastercam, CamBam, or OneCNC.
Each format presents real-world limitations. Nokia backups are severely obsolete, requiring outdated, unsupported Windows software to extract data. Supernote .NCC files are locked into a proprietary ecosystem and cannot be opened by standard image viewers or web browsers. CNC toolpath files are functional plain text but lack visual trajectory previews without expensive, subscription-based CAM software.
