About MXI files
The .MXI file extension primarily represents a MeasureX inspection file, a proprietary data format used by Micro-Vu's MeasureX software to store measurement routines for automated vision systems. Alternatively, .MXI files function as Adobe Extension Information files (formerly Macromedia), which are XML documents that specify extension details for Adobe Creative Cloud apps. A smaller percentage of these files are Maxwell Images generated by Next Limit Maxwell Render. The major disadvantage of MeasureX .MXI files is that they are highly proprietary machine data. They require expensive, specialized hardware and software to open, making them impossible to view on a standard PC or web browser without the exact QVI/Micro-Vu environment. Adobe .MXI files, while readable as XML, are useless on their own without the accompanying extension files (ZXP or MXP). Users often want to convert MeasureX data to standard formats like CSV, TXT, or XLSX to analyze inspection results in Microsoft Excel without occupying the machine terminal. Because MeasureX files are closed and proprietary, standard online converters usually fail to process them. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the geometric data. However, convert.guru can still identify the file format, inspect the file, and show text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible. Just drag and drop your file to see what it is and convert it if supported.
Convert.Guru analyzes your MXI file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert MXI file to JPG, PDF, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, TIF, WEBP, ICO, CUR, PSD or PSB, you can use MeasureX or similar software from the "Measurement Routine Data Storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert RAW, PNG, AI, NEF, PSB, DNG, SVG, GIF, EPS, JPG, ARW or PDF files to MXI, try MeasureX or another comparable tool in the "Measurement Routine Data Storage" category.
The MXI Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our MXI converter.
