Extract text from MindManager maps (MMP)

The .MMP file extension is heavily fragmented and used by entirely different software applications. Its most common use is as a Mind Map Project file created by MindManager (formerly Mindjet). These files store visual diagrams, brainstorming charts, and organizational structures. Alternatively, .MMP functions as an XML-based video project for MovieMator Video Editor, a RIFF-based playlist or audio mix project for MixMeister, or even a project file for the open-source LMMS digital audio workstation.
Because .MMP files are proprietary project files, they are virtually useless without their native applications. A MovieMator or LMMS .MMP file is just a text or XML blueprint; it does not embed the final exported video or audio media. If you send the raw project file to a client, they will only see code or get a missing media error. Meanwhile, opening MindManager files requires a costly subscription, locking your workflow data behind a paywall.
To share your work, you must convert the project. For mind maps, convert .MMP to PDF or PNG so anyone can view the chart on any device. For LMMS or MixMeister projects, you must render the audio to MP3 or WAV within the native app. For MovieMator, render the timeline to MP4.
