The .MGA extension primarily identifies a 3D color grading lookup table (LUT) used by Red Giant Magic Bullet for cinematic video post-production. It can also represent a legacy raster graphics file for Art Department Professional or Microcal Origin, or a digital comic document used by Manga Reader.
To utilize the color tables, editors typically rely on the Magic Bullet Suite or Briz LUT Converter. Legacy graphic files require vintage Amiga software or specialized technical viewers, while manga variants need dedicated comic readers.
Users face severe workflow limitations because .MGA is a closed, proprietary format.
