Extract text from DeedMapper and Logger Pro files (MBL)

The .MBL file extension is associated with three distinct software environments. Primarily, it stores historical records and land patent abstracts for Direct Line Software DeedMapper. It is also widely used as a science experiment data file by Vernier Logger Pro. Finally, MYOB accounting software uses the .MBL extension for printable invoice reports, which are actually disguised PDF files.
The main disadvantage of .MBL files is their proprietary nature. Unless it is an MYOB invoice, opening an .MBL file requires a specific desktop application. Users working with Vernier Logger Pro data often struggle to share their scientific results with colleagues who do not have a paid software license. Similarly, DeedMapper files are completely unreadable in standard text editors or database browsers, trapping your data within a single ecosystem.
Converting .MBL files is highly recommended if you need to analyze the data elsewhere. Vernier and DeedMapper files should ideally be exported to CSV or TXT for spreadsheet analysis, while MYOB files can be renamed or extracted directly to PDF for universal viewing. However, standard online converters almost always fail to process these files because the data structures are closed and undocumented.
