Extract text from KPL files

The .kpl extension acts as a container for several distinct, incompatible formats, creating significant confusion for users. The most common variation (approx. 40%) is a 3D Home Design project created by Kozikaza, a popular web-based interior design tool. These files are typically ZIP-compressed archives containing XML data and references to online furniture assets. Because they are proprietary "save states" designed to load within the Kozikaza browser interface, they do not open in standard CAD software like AutoCAD or SketchUp. Users often struggle to share these plans with contractors or clients who lack the software. For these cases, the most pragmatic conversion is to PDF or high-resolution JPG images for viewing, rather than attempting a direct geometry conversion to OBJ or STL, which often fails due to missing asset libraries.
A secondary but frequent use (approx. 16%) is the KMPlayer Playlist file. Unlike the universal M3U format, .kpl playlists are formatted specifically for KMPlayer using INI-style syntax. These files are merely text lists referencing media paths, not the video or audio files themselves. Users frequently encounter errors when trying to play these in VLC Media Player or on mobile devices. Converting these text-based lists to M3U8 or standard TXT allows for broader compatibility.
Less commonly, the file may be a Krita Color Palette used by digital artists in Krita to store swatches. While useful within the application, these are locked out of the Adobe ecosystem; converting them to ACO (Adobe Color) or ASE (Adobe Swatch Exchange) makes the palettes usable in Photoshop and Illustrator.
