Extract text from home plans and playlists (KPL)

The .kpl file extension serves multiple distinct purposes. Primarily, it is used as a 3D home plan file by the Kozikaza online home planner, storing architectural layouts in a ZIP-compressed structure. It is also widely used as a playlist file for KMPlayer, saving media playback queues in UTF-8 or UTF-16 text formats. Additionally, .kpl files function as color palettes in the open-source painting software Krita, and as kitchen design layouts in KitchenDraw or KPS Design.
The primary issue with .kpl files is their extreme fragmentation. A home plan .kpl is structurally completely different from a media playlist .kpl. Kozikaza files are highly proprietary and locked to their web platform, making offline viewing or exporting to standard CAD formats like DWG or DXF nearly impossible without the original user account. Playlist files, while just plain text, require compatible media players and are useless if the referenced media file paths are broken or moved on your hard drive. Krita palettes are application-specific and cannot be directly opened in other raster editing software.
Standard online converters fail because they cannot guess which specific type of .kpl you uploaded. For KMPlayer playlists, converting to M3U or PLS is ideal for broad compatibility. For Krita palettes, exporting to ACO or GPL from within Krita is required. Kozikaza plans usually need to be exported as 2D renders or standard 3D models directly from the web application.
Because many .kpl formats are closed and proprietary, they are exceptionally difficult to convert directly. However, just drag and drop your file to identify the format, view it, and convert it when possible.
