About ISF files
An .ISF file typically stores either Tektronix Oscilloscope Waveform Data or SmartPlant Instrumentation specifications. It may also function as an Inspiration visual diagram, a Qualcomm cellular diagnostic log, or an Aruba network design project. These files represent a classic data lock-in problem. They are highly specific, often closed binary formats. For instance, Tektronix files hold raw binary waveform signals that you cannot simply open in standard data analysis tools. SmartPlant data sheets are actually compressed ZIP archives, while network design files use an XML structure. Users constantly struggle with this format because opening or converting it typically requires an expensive, niche software license. Standard online converters fail because they lack the proprietary decoders required to process multiple unrelated schemas. To make the data useful, Tektronix users usually need to convert .ISF to CSV for analysis in Python or Excel, while diagram users need PDF exports. We will analyze the underlying bytes to identify the true format, show you raw text, and convert it if a supported structure like ZIP or XML is detected.
Convert.Guru analyzes your ISF file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert ISF file to CSV, PDF, TXT, RTF, DOC, DOCX, ODT, PAGES, TEX, LATEX, MD or MARKDOWN, you can use Tektronix Waveform Viewer or similar software from the "Oscilloscope Waveform Data" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert PDF, DOC, ASC, TODO, NFO, MEMO, README, DOCX, JPG, TXT, NOTE or RTF files to ISF, try Tektronix Waveform Viewer or another comparable tool in the "Oscilloscope Waveform Data" category.
The ISF Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our ISF converter.
