The .HDX file format is most commonly a Huawei product documentation archive. These files are used by Huawei Technologies to distribute massive product manuals, technical guides, and release notes to enterprise clients. To read them natively, users must install the proprietary Huawei Documentation Explorer (HedEx Lite). Another notable use case is for Home Design 3D project files, which store floor plans and architectural models using a JSON structure.
The Huawei .HDX format is extremely inconvenient for standard sharing. It is a proprietary, closed container. You cannot open it natively in a web browser, and colleagues without the HedEx Lite viewer installed cannot read the manuals.
