Extract text from H2W files

To convert other file formats to the "Diagnostic Data Log" file type, you need software like H2testw or a similar tool.
A .H2W file is primarily a Storage Integrity Test File generated by the diagnostic utility H2testw. These files are not meant to be opened, edited, or converted into standard media formats like MP4, AVI, or DOCX. Instead, they contain randomized binary "dummy" data used to completely fill USB flash drives, SD cards, and hard drives to verify their actual storage capacity and detect counterfeit hardware (fake drives).
Users typically encounter these files - often named sequentially (e.g., 1.h2w, 2.h2w) - occupying gigabytes of space on a new or used drive. If you see these files, it indicates a diagnostic test was performed. Once the verification is finished, .H2W files serve no further purpose and should be deleted to reclaim your storage space. They are effectively "digital trash" left behind by the testing process.
In rare cases (approx. 3%), this extension may be associated with Huawei Watch Faces, although the standard format is HWT. If you are certain the file is a watch face, it may be a mislabeled archive that can be renamed to HWT and installed via the Huawei Health app. Attempting to convert a standard H2testw file to an image or document will result in corruption or a stream of gibberish.
