Extract text from Game UI and genealogy files (GFT)

To convert other file formats to the "Emulator Asset & Genealogy File" file type, you need software like Tencent GameLoop or a similar tool.
The .GFT file extension primarily represents either a Game UI Image Asset used by the Tencent GameLoop Android emulator (formerly Tencent Gaming Buddy) or a Genealogy Family Tree database created by legacy software such as Reunion for Windows or Genie Family Tree. These files are proprietary and not designed for universal access.
The GameLoop UI assets store graphical interface elements for the emulator. The genealogy format stores complex relational database records of family histories. Both formats share major disadvantages: they are closed systems. You cannot open a GameLoop .GFT file in standard web browsers or image viewers, and you cannot read a genealogy .GFT file in modern software without a proper export tool. This often traps user data in outdated or specialized software.
If you possess a genealogy .GFT file, your ideal target format is GEDCOM. The GEDCOM format is the universal standard for family tree data and allows imports into modern platforms like Family Historian. For game assets, the goal is often extraction to PNG or JPG for modding or editing.
Because these formats are undocumented and highly proprietary, standard online converters usually fail to process them. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data.
