About FMC files
The .FMC file is primarily a mobile form and record created by the FormConnect app. It acts as a container for custom form layouts, user input, digital signatures, and embedded images. Secondary uses of the .FMC extension include Spindle form files for Draycir Spindle Professional (often built on a standard ZIP architecture) and proprietary macro files in Nemetschek Allplan.
This format is proprietary and highly restrictive. A FormConnect .FMC file locks your business data into a single ecosystem. You cannot natively open these files on Windows, Android, or standard web browsers. Sharing an .FMC file with a client is useless unless they also install the specific application used to create it.
Users typically need to convert .FMC to PDF for universal document sharing, or to CSV and XML to extract structured database records for CRM systems. Because .FMC files are closed formats, standard online converters fail to parse their complex layouts and proprietary data fields. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data.
Just drag and drop your file into convert.guru to identify the format, view it, and convert it when possible. Our analyzer will inspect the file structure. If the file is based on an archive format, we can extract readable text, raw data, or embedded images, giving you a realistic workaround when full layout conversion is blocked.
Convert.Guru analyzes your FMC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert FMC file to CSV, JSON, XML, YAML, YML, TOML, INI, CFG, CONF, DAT, DB or SQL, you can use FormConnect or similar software from the "Form and Macro Storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert DBF, XML, SQLITE, XLSX, SQL, TSV, ACCDB, YAML, MDB, CSV, ODS or JSON files to FMC, try FormConnect or another comparable tool in the "Form and Macro Storage" category.
The FMC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FMC converter.
