Extract text from Game archives or reports (ERP)

The .ERP file extension is most commonly an Ego Engine Game Archive. It is used by Codemasters and EA Sports for their F1 racing game series, such as F1 2020 and F1 22. These files act as large resource containers holding 3D models, textures, and game configuration data. Less commonly, .ERP files are created as project management reports by Oracle Primavera P6, error reports by ESRI ArcGIS, or Event-Related Potential brainwave data by the ERPLAB Toolbox for MATLAB.
The main disadvantage of .ERP files is their proprietary, locked-down nature. Game archives require specialized, third-party community tools like the Ego ERP Archiver just to view the contents. You cannot natively browse them like a standard ZIP file. For business and scientific users, Primavera and ERPLAB files are completely unreadable without active, expensive software subscriptions. This makes sharing data with colleagues or extracting game assets for modding highly frustrating.
To make the data usable, extraction or conversion is required. For game modding, extract the internal files to DDS for textures or XML for configuration edits. For business use, you should convert Primavera reports to PDF or XLSX for easy sharing and archiving. For GIS error logs, convert to TXT or ZIP, as ArcGIS reports are actually standard ZIP files under the hood.
