The .ELS extension is a notoriously ambiguous filename used by several distinct industries, making it difficult to identify without context. It most commonly refers to a saved listing archive from eLister, a legacy tool for managing eBay auctions. These files contain item descriptions, images, and pricing data locked inside a proprietary format, rendering them inaccessible to modern e-commerce platforms or standard spreadsheet software. In the financial sector, an .ELS file often holds EasyLanguage scripts used by TradeStation. These are algorithmic trading strategies or indicators.
