Primarily, it acts as a game world save or configuration file for Eco, a multiplayer simulation game by Strange Loop Games. In the engineering and electronics sectors, it functions as an Engineering Change Order file utilized by PCB design software like Siemens PADS or Protel. Other niche uses include encrypted carbon footprint data from Ecospeed, building performance analysis in Autodesk Ecotect Analysis, and legacy database files for the obsolete Ecco Pro Personal Information Manager.
