About EAS files

The .EAS file extension represents a collision of three distinct industries, creating significant confusion for users trying to open them.

1. Cadwell EEG Data (Primary Use): Most commonly, an .EAS file is a proprietary recording generated by Cadwell Easy II or Easy III EEG systems (often managed by NeuroWorks software). These files store multichannel neurological waveform data.

2. Electronic Account Statement (Banking): In the financial sector, specifically within German banking systems, .EAS files are used for electronic direct debit data and account statements.

3. eDrawings Assembly: Rarely, this extension is used as a compressed container for SolidWorks eDrawings assemblies.

Convert.Guru analyzes your EAS file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted EASYNOTES, EASM, PDF, ACD, EDS, RSL and TAS files.

The EAS Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our EAS converter.
